My cooking lately has been pretty basic- a little meat, a lot of veggies, a bit of fruit, some dark chocolate, yogurt, nuts and coconut. Good stuff but not not the makings of a blog post. Hopefully that will change soon as I have more time and can do some gluten free baking and cooking. I was playing around today with trying to create a gluten free version of the chocolate krinkle cookies from my gluten filled days. I'm still tweaking the recipe a bit and will post it when I've got it right.
My baking/cooking is always gluten free, generally low-carb and often dairy free. I try to limit the "speciality items" I bake with but there are some things I really like for adding bulk, moisture and flavor. For now I'll do a few postings of some of my favorite places to find these ingredients. Some of the things I like to use include coconut oil, powdered coconut milk, nut flours, chia, stevia and nut milk/cream. Recipes to follow.

Name: Nuts Online
Products: Almond flour, nuts of any kind, chia and organic dried Turkish apricots
Comments: Great selection of nuts and dried fruits. One of these times I want to try the organic pomegranate powder.
I'm always interested in any suggestions of ingredients to use in gluten free baking and any other thoughts/suggestions you wish to share!
Hi Ruby, "meat, a lot of veggies, a bit of fruit, some dark chocolate, yogurt, nuts..." interesting food choices... sounds a bit like us. We are trying to put more fish and poultry in our everyday living, as little sugar as possible. Have you added any avocados?
